2010-Current

Founder of Globosocks, LLC whose primary focus is designed to support creative marketing approaches for schools, NGOs/not for profits, corporate clients, political campaigns. Inventor of the Patented SafetySock^TM to improve roadside safety for road workers, fleet vehicles, and personal safety.
Investor in community-driven initiatives through the sales of Globosocks™ whereby there is a dedicated philanthropic strategy to financially support developing countries through grants for environmentally friendly technology and educational support for communities, families, and children.
Focused on global partnership development for improving communities through strategic partnership and investment.

2003-2011

Representative and spokesperson for the Governor, the State of New Mexico, and the Commission on all Civic Engagement activities with federal, state, local government, business leaders, and the non-profit sector.
Oversee an annual budget of more than $3.9 million for fiscal year 2010 and direct, review, select, and approve federally and state-funded AmeriCorps and NM Commission-supported projects, utilizing national service strategies.
Responsible for financial management, procurement, and organizational contract negotiation.
As head of the Commission, national service programs in New Mexico help harness volunteer hours which translates to nearly $1.1 billion dollars in economic terms for our communities.

Developed, allocated, and managed a $1.3 million budget.
Managed programs focusing on community education initiatives and community-strengthening activities.
Developed and maintained partnerships with city, county, and community-based organizations and local corporations, which resulted in the expansion of community service programs.
Served as the primary liaison among the school district, the United States Department of Education, the NM Commission for Community Volunteerism, and other governmental entities.
Cultivated community partnerships with a wide variety of entities which led to the establishment of the school district’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers/AmeriCorps/ AmeriCorps*VISTA/Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Programs, which support increased student achievement.
Facilitated the development of district-operated volunteer and community outreach programs; managed the implementation of the AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps* VISTA programs. All programming engaged the Rio Rancho non-profit community in creative ways to leverage resources to support our community.

1996-2000

Coordinated the use of all district facilities with individuals, the community, and governmental agencies for 29 school sites.
Liaison between the school district, the community, as well as other agencies in identifying essential and desired programs.

1998-1999

Responsible for the oversight and management of the Departments of Telecommunications, Technology, General Services, Student Data, Food Services, and Risk Management.
Conducted budget analysis and administered a budget in excess of $10 million.
Reviewed policy changes on local, state, and national levels, as well as the development and implementation of the Board of Education policies and procedures.
Formulated recommendations for the Superintendent and presented new policy to the Board of Education;
Provided monthly and quarterly reports in written and oral form to the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education, and various stakeholders on a regular basis.
Spearheaded the Red Cross relief effort of the evacuation of Los Alamos, New Mexico during the Cerro Grande Fire by opening Santa Fe High School as a shelter for displaced residents in 2000.
Established the Community Services Department for the district and the implementation of the community school model at each school site, which supported increased student achievement and fostered community member unity, volunteerism, community-based organizations, and partners into schools in a productive manner.
Served as the lead district administrator in the successful passage of the (February 1999) $53 million dollar Bond/Mill Levy Election.

1995-1996

Hired, trained, and managed 35 employees at seven out of school time programs and four Middle School Initiative Programs at Albuquerque Public School sites for 1,000 children daily.
Provided oversight and management of 35-summer lunch sites in Bernalillo and Sandoval Counties.
Administered a combined annual budget of $1.7 million dollars.
Conducted budget analysis and development.
Served as the primary liaison among Bernalillo County, the State of New Mexico, as well as other agencies and businesses.
Ensured the safe educational and recreational environments of 1,000+ children and youth during non-school hours.
